Hispanic Ministry

The Hispanic Ministry is an integral part of the Cathedral parish, ministering to those parishioners who
speak Spanish. The Ministry provides spiritual growth for Hispanics by providing the means to
celebrate their faith in their own language and traditions through reception of the Sacraments,
religious education, prayer groups, Bible classes, small communities, “Why catholic?”, social
events, and cultural celebrations. The Ministry assists newcomers with English classes and job
connections until they become independent in their new surroundings.

There are two Masses in Spanish in the Cathedral of Christ the King, one on Saturdays at 5:00 PM, for children and young people, in the Parish Hall starting on September 15th and Sundays in the church at 1:30 PM. The Mass in the Mission of Lindbergh (714 Lindbergh Dr.) at 5:30 PM will continue till the building will demolished. The Prayer Group will be at the Hyland Center Thursdays from 7 to 9 PM.

El Ministerio Hispano es parte integral de la parroquia de la Catedral, sirviendo a aquellos
feligreses que hablan español. El Ministerio proporciona medios de crecimiento espiritual
para los Hispanos a través de la celebración de la Eucaristía en su propia lengua y cultura,
educación en la Fe, preparación y recepción de los Sacramentos, grupos de oración, grupos
juveniles, pequeñas comunidades, “¿Por que ser Católico?”, eventos socials y celebraciones
culturales. El Ministerio ayuda a los recién llegados con clases de inglés y conectándolos
cuando les ofrecen algún trabajo.

En la catedral tendremos dos Misas en español. Una los Sábados a las 5:00 PM en el salon
parroquial, para niños y jóvenes, comenzando el 15 de Septiembre. La otra los Domingos
en la Iglesia a la 1:30 PM. La Misa en la Misión de Lindbergh (714 Lindbergh Dr.) los Sábados
a las 5:30 PM continuará hasta que el edificio sea derrumbado. El grupo de oración
pasará a la catedral, los Jueves de 7 a 9 PM.
