Sandwich Making for Shelters

The Cathedral participates in two sandwich making projects each year. From November through March, we make sandwiches each first Monday of the Month at 7 pm in the Christ the King School Cafeteria for the Shrine Shelter. For more information, contact Meg Burnett at megburnett@aol.com.

Snack Bag Making

Each month Christ the King provides more than 200 snack bags to hungry individuals who come to our doors. Please help us feed the hungry by making snack bags or donating nonperishable, individual pull top cans of a main dish items (such as chili, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, beef stew or ravioli) and juice or milk box drinks for the snack bags. As little as $2 can alleviate hunger. You can also help by joining us on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 pm.

Each month, Christ the King provides more than 200 snack bags to hungry individuals who come to our doors. Here’s a story from one of the people who  receives our snack bags everyday:  “Thank you for being there for me while I looked for a job.  I have been working for a few weeks now and have enough saved so I don’t need to get snack bags anymore.” Everything we do has a tremendous impact on someone.  Thank you for your support of this outreach.
