Dear Parishioners,

I want to welcome Monsignor Richard Lopez to the Cathedral parish. This is Monsignor Lopez’s second assignment to Christ the King; his first was from 1973 to 1975, right after his ordination. Monsignor will be in residence here while continuing to teach at St. Pius X High School. I look forward to working with Monsignor and enjoying his legendary homilies. Monsignor will be with us beginning in August.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Father Joseph for his 3 years here at the Cathedral. He is a holy, devout priest whom I found to be sensitive to the needs of the parishioners and the community. Father Joseph is committed not only to his own spiritual life but also to the charism of his order. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Father Joseph as he begins this new chapter of his life at the Cancer Home and at St. Benedict Catholic Church.
